MEET THE PRESIDENT

 

Amy Fu, founder of AEC, has more than 10 years of experience in environmental (especially remediation) projects. She also has more than 10 years’ experience in chemistry research and teaching. Pursuing various courses of study and several advanced degrees, Amy is an alumnus of University of Notre Dame, University of Florida, and both Tsinghua University and Xiamen University in China. She is a registered Professional Engineer in Florida.

With a broad educational background that includes studies in chemistry, chemical engineering, and environmental engineering, Amy Fu thoroughly understands the nature of environmental contamination and its impact on air, soil, and groundwater. Amy’s areas of expertise include:
· Remediation systems design and implementation

· Non-aqueous phase liquid contamination management

· Feasibility studies

· Contaminant fate and transport

· Indoor air vapor intrusion assessment and mitigation

· Brownfields

· Groundwater modeling

In addition, Amy Fu is an experienced educator and frequent public speaker. She has taught locally and given numerous lectures, speeches, and presentations on a wide variety of topics, both in the U.S. and abroad.

“I came from China to the United States in 1996. At that time, I had about $200 on me, spoke broken English, and knew not a single soul here. I survived and thrived on hard and honest work, helping others, and always tried to be the best that I could be. Looking into the future, I want to give back to the community as generously as I have received.” Amy became a proud U.S. citizen in 2007.
